Yep it would be good according to the spec sheet this thing has solid axials front and rear, is a bodie on rails construction (just like your 4X4), is equiped from standard whith portal hubs  and has 225/75R16 wheels from standard giving a total ground clearence of 370mm not to bad for a van ay  and check out that approach and departure angles

Heres alink to a vid of it at work

1.0L GTTi machine with 101 horse power, and this car could be a excellent offroader.

It's actually a whole jimny engine - in Japan. I run a 660 triple in my sierra and it has plenty of power. It's all this van would need. It certainly wouldn't gain very much capability with 100hp (the 660 will have 67hp) - you're not going to be hitting anything at speed in that.

Don't get too excited though, it's only a concept.

With it being labeled as a "concept" and Daihatsu not being in Australia any more its a slim chance we would ever see one here

Still 34's, diff locks, gears and a turbo or supercharger would make it very cool I wonder what it would go for if it was released.
( usual disclaimers )

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
