Ls1 Vs Ls2 flywheel

Are the LS1 and Ls2 flywheels the same as they are too dear new. hopeing i can use a wrecked Ls1 one. the part numbers are different from holden

As far as I know but havent put 2 side by side. The LQ9 has a different offset and six converter bolt holes not 3.

I can get you a used one if you want to see if it fits, Should be able to get one from a LS1 no worries, Just remember though that they cant be machined as far as i know

I thought the LS1/2 Flywheels were a dual mass(rubber bonded damper built in) flywheel and this is why they can not be machined??

You should be able to buy an aftermarket billet flywheel for either of these by now.

I dont have rubber on mine either I just looked at my spare

Maybe the later models???

And early ls1s are 3 hole

Ill get it and you can have it, cost me nothing so ill pass on the savings, it will be a old one though. Genuine the clutch comes as a kit with the pressure plate flywheel and driven disc all together. Try Direct clutch services they may be able to tell you more about reusing an old flywheel. They arent dual mass, the V6 uses dual mass flywheels.
