Guys - can you do your research a bit before clogging the thread up with dream parts that Sean isn't going to ever be able to help with.

1.0's were basically never sold in the US (they were, but the numbers were so small it's not relevant)
Jimny's have never been sold in the US

Bolt on portals? The cheapest bolt on portals for any diff were Maxi drives - About $10.5K How much have you got to spend? Have you looked at the strength of a Sierra diff housing? Looked at the scrub radius and axle location problems of this?

I don't want to rant, but if this thread is going to be of use to Sean try and keep it to parts that are plausible/relevant to the US market too.

a good thing would be to know if your yj leaf spring kits will take hilux (very common and cheap where its hard to find yj leafs) leaf springs. the springs are the same with but don't know where the axle will end up if i use the kit and hilux springs.

coversion kit for a toyota 4age engine to sierra gear box or g52 (think thats the right box) hilux gear box.

i for one have been quite happy with the range of aftermarket suzi stuff available from the US of A.

finding a cheaper way to get it here would be nice (but i think you guys already offer lower shipping if the orders are placed together/sent in bulk?)

Shipping can be cheaper if you want to wait for a boat to bring it over.
Even with shipping cost its still cheaper then buying from an aussie supplyer and usually gets to your door quicker.

All aussie companies need to lift their game or they wiil loose their business to the US supplyers.

im personally not in the market, but it seems that suzuki owners are always taking the cheap way out when it comes to SPOA conversions. Not sure if you make them but RHD highsteer knuckles? and they have to be cheaper then Snake racing items.

B)Any rear LSD for a sierra will fit the rear of a Jimny

Don't mean to wind you up but Sean did ask what the Aussie market needs, not cross compatible products that assist in world domination. If Sean has the ability to pump out good gear for this local market and hook up with a local supplier shipping costs are atomised and he'll have a healthy income stream should the US dollar keep diving ;)

Having said all that I have nothing to add other than the above mentioned hi steer kit.

bolt on yj spring kit for the rear of a LWB

suzana front diff ... or a package with all the parts ... so its do it yourself

Things like a rear disc setup using a common handbrake compatible caliper available locally could be done by sending a caliper for the bracket to be modified to suit.

Question about the YJ kit thing. Where do you plan on getting the YJ leaves from? US? leaves = big & heavy = $$$ shipping.
As im not aware of them being readily available in aus...?

A decent SNORKEL for a Sierra 1.3L. The only commercially made one available here seems to be an "AIRFLOW" snorkel. I am NOT a fan of this one as the ram head sits WAY too high IMHO... Perfect for smashing it off on the first tree you come across. :x (I hope I am not the only person who thinks this...)

I know its easy to make your own one, but if a good commercial one was available, I would buy it! Its just easier!

the reason is that's not acutally a sierra snorkel - it's from a TJ I think and happens to fit. There is some talk that Airflow are acually going to be making a snorkel that fits a sierra properly.

And again, the US have almost no market for snorkels and 99% of snorkels you see in the US are made here. There also masters of making snorkels work in funny applications - like 60 series onto ford ranger and I think 80 series onto chev pickup.

I'll let you know if it's going to happen. I have to go there probably next week as they are now working on a Vitara 1.6 snorkel. They are making a concerted effort to update and expand their range.

Wow, that's alot of different ideas.

Just a few comments:

-Shipping is not really a thing we can do anything with, if any of you can find a cheaper and just as reliable shipping method as Postal Priority mail, Express Mail and UPS, let me know, I am willing to try it.

Priority mail flat rate for packages under 20 pounds is around $50-$60 per package and it goes up from there depending on weight, size and price for insurance.

-I will see what we can do on the power-steering kits for the RHD Sierra, I think that is a good idea.

-As far as most the other parts mentioned, most are not really feasible. We are looking for parts that are going to be commonly needed parts that will sell large quantities at low costs to the customer.
With most parts, with the amount of R&D and money going into them is not worth it when you only sell a few of them.


A few questions:
Is the alternator, a/c compressor and P/S pumps all mounted on the same sides of the motor as the engines here?
Is the Power Steering Gear boxes that exact opposite as the ones here?

If u need it Sean i can scan in an adapter i have here. it is only the block style and not the wedge but should give u the figures u need. this is for the box mount.

From what Ive read feroza rears arethe same as yjs, I realise it would be difficult to source yjs but ferozas are easy and a bolt on kit for LWB could work good as we have quite a few lwb but they were also sold elsewhere where yjs are readily available so win for us and a win for low range.
