??????????????????

the original question was what would you build for your self.

I just put up what I plan on building, beebee said it well, old school.
it may be old school, but it would be ultra reliable!

Sounds like an interesting build you have planned Bubs.

My ultimate Lux (which I do plan on building eventually) is a 84 extra cab.
Mog diffs narrowed a bit and fitted with disc brake and pinion conversions
16" Airshocks with tiangulated 4 link in the back and 3 link & panhard front
Full hydro steer
Atlas case and cutting brakes for front digs
39.5" Iroks and beadlocks
Full exo
Supercharged Commodore V6 and auto
Drivetrain sunk back into firewall to shift some weight back more central
Dovetail the front tube the back
Front and rear winches that can be used for recovery or suspension control
And painted a nice bright Toxic fluro lime (maybe with some pearl or metal fleck mixed in for extra bling)

It is a long way off but I just ordered a new shed to start building it in :) 9x12x3.2m
Paul.

It could also be built in a very short time, two guys with all of the parts ready, two welders and a hoist would get this done in no time.

The only pic I have is the front housing before it was shaved, have not taken any more since.

First things will be IFS rear housing, which is sitting here, front suspension & hy-steer will be getting done first.
