I had a chat recently with Rod (Rodified) about running wide tyres and rims on a suzuki.
Once outcome of this discussion with the idea that it was cheaper to buy / source a set of wide rims for a 6 stud patern (i.e. toyota / nissan), cut out the centres, and drop in some 5 stud centres. The end result being something like a 15x10 5 on 5.5's for much less than the cost of buying them new.
It is also far more common to find 6 stud wheels attached to big tyres in the trading post, then it is to find them 5 stud wheels.
Has anyone done this? If so, I'd like to hear what rim types you used. (i.e. Speedies, ROH Track II's). And if you were able to use the centres out of a stock sierra rim - because obviously everyone already has these and they are basically free if you don't.

New ROH 5 on 5.5" 15x7s F100 whitespokes with a +7mm offset run to about $80 each from TTF. They are a heavier guage metal than the 7" Zook rims and would stand up better to the shit that you guys hurl at them. Seems to me that you could save yourself the stuffing around trying to get part A fitted to part B after removing part C and then not being sure if they are roadworthy. Probably cost about the same, too.

I think what gregs trying to say is you dont see too many 15X10 sunrasia's in 5 stud, but they are usually fitted to wide tyres when they are for sale.
Greg, I reckon its doable, Anthony got the centres machined out of his sunrasias and re-welded for more off set for about $35-40. That said taking an ROH centre from a zook 15X7 and putting it in a TOY 15X10 should be perfect.
As far as zook I know somebody getting rid of Zook Trak II's

the rims on Chris' LWB are actually Lada Niva rims with Sierra centres. It was the only way I could get a 6" rim with the 16" centre for the SATs at the time. I don't see why it would n't work. As you said you can pick up cheap rims for Nissans/Toyotas and it is an easy matter to cut the centre out and reweld a new Sierra centre
