bit of a hijack
are turbo 700 the same bell housing bolt pattern as a turbo 350?
as i would like to fit the 4bta engine to my disco in the next couple of years and was just curious (i can get a tweaked motor for 3000 bucks pushin out 190hp and 500ft/lb which already has 230hp injectors 3200 rpm gov spring and after cooler cooler which converts factory after cooler to water to air intercooler using its own cooling system)

That's a big lumpy engine with the aftercooler on top. The Isuzu fits better in a RHD package and puts out similar power easily.cooter wrote:i can get a tweaked motor for 3000 bucks pushin out 190hp and 500ft/lb which already has 230hp injectors 3200 rpm gov spring and after cooler cooler which converts factory after cooler to water to air intercooler using its own cooling system)
the aftercooler is divorced and uses a cut down 6bte manifoldKiwiBacon wrote:That's a big lumpy engine with the aftercooler on top. and these engines will produce up to 400 hp on stock internals
and they have a really nice torque curve

Head over to 4BTswaps.com and start reading, there are some excellent builds there but none reaching 400hp that I'm aware of. Toolmanoffroad must be getting close, but he's got compound turbos and nitrous. Many people have posted up their dyno results.cooter wrote: the aftercooler is divorced and uses a cut down 6bte manifold

The torque curve on these drops like a stone as the revs rise, the Isuzu's are much flatter.
