okay cool because i had jammed mine i had to bash main shaft back to get it all free spinning again and it came out easy yay no damage
NEXT QUESTION
should this (the big gear) have any movement ? it has about 2 mm side movement there is a gap between the gear the speedo drives from and the big gear
so speedo gear then shim, that shim has movment and so does the gear next to it.

My leafy had the same movement and my TG 12 000 000page instruction manual didn't say any thing about it... but it did mention how to adjust you windscreen wipers for excellent pressure...

i dont think it should have any movement as it will not mesh with the other gears properly. it could cause un even wear and premature gear failure. check with an expert if ya not sure.

Mine still whine after more km's than that and I've changed the oil heaps of times. If they don't whine and nothing is wrong then I think you're very lucky. I remember Joe harping on about shimming them to factory specs bla bla bla to prevent whining and pre-mature wear but heaps of people have built them to the instructions with only the shims provided and still had no problems besides the whine, myself included.31zook wrote:Yeah maybey but if its tight because it forced sideways and not round then it will eventualy wear out and make some awsome noises But mine have taken over 1200kms to sit in and stop whining make sure change oil after bout 500kms

Yeah mine are fine for cruising (wouldn't know there was a set of TG in there) but if you drop back a gear and go hard then they whine a little.GRPABT1 wrote:Mine still whine after more km's than that and I've changed the oil heaps of times.
