GQ to GU brake master cylinder and booster

Hi guys,i did a search but couldnt come up with anything.Do the GQ and GU run the same brake master cylinder and booster?If not is the GU one a bolt in job and does it make a difference to the GQ brakes.Cheers Loz.

My brakes are pretty good considering its a GQ.Its a 98 diesel coil cab and im runnin 37's.I already have twin pots on the front,EBC pads all round,stainless lines front n rear but not caliper lines and slotted n dimpled rotors all round.It pulls up well for a GQ but the brakes seem to fade away when im wheelin.Like when reversing back on steep inclines or driving down them.My mate has a GU coil cab n his brakes are awsome when off road.Everything from calipers to size of rotors are identical but was wondering if the difference was in the booster and master cylinder as i did not change mine when i puy the twin pots on. The complete GU booset and master will bolt on, same displacement so should not have any benefit.

Beware, the drum rear GQ and leaf cab GU ute use a BM50 master that has a smaller piston, GQ/GU all disk ie wagon and coil cab run a BM57 which.

GU have 4 bolts from master to booster, gq have 2.
