Will I ever get a blue slip?
I bought and installed a new engine in my car, however, when I bought the engine back in May, I never got a receipt from the guy or anything. Do I stand any chance of getting the car blue slipped still?

I can't talk from personal experience, but I imagine as long as the motor does not come up in the system as stolen, then you should have no problems.
Maybe your best bet would be to go to a Blue Slip Inspection Station and ask the question before handing over your money and being rejected?

x2, the receipt doesn't need to relate to the person on the books for that motor, it just needs to be a receipt. The authorities don't care who sold you the motor, if it checks out as not stolen they just want a receipt from you for bereucratic reasons.
