100 series height on the road

Post by chubbers001 »

I have a 100 series 2006 TD - bought 2nd hand - and I think it has been raised in the rear or lowered in the front ( I dont know why) . Does any one know the standard height from the center of the hubs to the bottom of the wheel arch front and rear, I would think the measurement would be from the center of the hub to over come the different height of tyres that can be put on[

Sorry not sure on the measurements but the IFS trucks seem to sit lowrt in the front. Does it have any extra's which may add to the nose dive?

The only extra on the front is a standard ARB bull bar with 1 set of driving lights, no winch or PTO or any other heavy device.
Sorry IFS ?

when I had the 100 series I put in a set off H/D torsion bars (wound them up a little) to take the weight and it sat flatter and felt a sh!t load better to drive with the firmer bars in. I also had steel ARB bar and a winch out front.

Thats it, get some decent torsion bars under the front, Toyota springs of any desription are shyte from the factory.

Get the wheel alignment done also if you make any changes to an IFS front end.
