While trying to get those bloody shackle pins out, we popped the front slip joint.
If anyone could have a look at theirs (LN65) and advise on the alignment of the unis- ie the diff end and the cardon joint end- are the yokes in line or at 90deg to each other?
There was a vibration in the front shaft that felt awefully like a phasing problem (from previous owner- note we haven't had the truck very long) before we popped it.
Just want to get it right and any advice would be much appreciated!

Hilux front tailshaft phasing

I work for a driveshaft company and we phase all shafts at zero degrees, ie. ears should line up as stated above. Except for commodore shafts which have different phasing depending on model. So yeah, put the slip back together so the ears line up, and if it feels like it vibrates heaps, take it apart again and turn it 180 degrees.
Hope this helps
