tried searching but couldn't find the answer i was looking for!
on the compliance plate of my 98 GQ leaf sprung ute i has

FS5R50A i know this is the type of gear box
HH43 this is the H260 correct?

What i want to know is there any easy way to find out if it is full floater or semi floater or 37 spline or 34 spline without pulling it apart?

anyy identifiable markings or characteristcs that mate one stand out from the other??? pics would help

Ok by the code i can't help ya if its a H260 or not, maybe with the HH marking at the front

as to tell if its a full floater you need to look at the rear wheels. in the center (the hug) if its a full floater it will have nuts that hold the axel in (like a 80 series rear) if its semi it will look like a normal wagon one

I didnt think the H260 came in semi floating at all, only full? i could be wrong though.

GU leaf spring utes had/have H260 full floating diff. Was only semi floating on GQ H260.

just had it apart! so i now know for shure that i have a semi floating H260 37 spline. also found out that my uni joints are F#@ked. would the tail shafts be the same between H260 & H233?

I've seen 33 splines H233Bs SF, 34 splines H260s SF and 37 splines H260s FF. Never seen a SF 37 spliner here in Panama !

i was just searching and came cross a topic saying that GQ leaf ute's have a 4 pinion H233 in the front! is this correct? i want to get a auto locker for the front but don't want to get the wrong one!

For the front diff I know there's :

Detroit DET-187SL167!_a

Lock Right 3220

I would go with a selectable locker at the front, not auto !
