any help or suggestions on putting a coil chassis under my leaf leaf gq ute..

is it worth it??

does anyone have a chassis??

Ludacris has a coil chassis spare. He is at goodna .

i just put a 98 ute shell on my 89chassie. was bolt on only had to cut the front shock towers into the inner gaurd. also had to use the 89 steering shaft.
89 4.2tdt pootrol,w-a,3inch spring,bar-reparing,83%ers,4.6, arb front & noslip rear, 35's

leaf front gaurds are different to coil ones by about 60mm and it is well worth it

hey mate...

me n a mate just did this conversion on his leafy... its pretty straight forward the only thing u gotta look out for r the front guards/quater panel n youll have to cut a hole in the inner guard for the front shock towers... the leaf ones r futher forward than the coil ones... coil steering colum is a bit shorter than the leaf so you will need a coil steering colum... ummm chassis is 305mm shorter or around that n the chassis rails are 100mm wider so u will need to mod the tray a bit... (and put tray mounts on if its a wagon chassis) and the plugs for the rear half of the wiring loom r different between coil n leaf so either re-wire or use a coil loom... everythin else is straight forward... all n all if ur happy with ur ute and all you r chasin is coils i reckon go for it...
