putting a coil chassis under my leaf gq ute...
hey mate...
me n a mate just did this conversion on his leafy... its pretty straight forward the only thing u gotta look out for r the front guards/quater panel n youll have to cut a hole in the inner guard for the front shock towers... the leaf ones r futher forward than the coil ones... coil steering colum is a bit shorter than the leaf so you will need a coil steering colum... ummm chassis is 305mm shorter or around that n the chassis rails are 100mm wider so u will need to mod the tray a bit... (and put tray mounts on if its a wagon chassis) and the plugs for the rear half of the wiring loom r different between coil n leaf so either re-wire or use a coil loom... everythin else is straight forward... all n all if ur happy with ur ute and all you r chasin is coils i reckon go for it...
goodluck... kirky
