Hi all,
still getting some bits togther to do the swap, but just want to know if nitro gears or the trail gear 4.88's are better? as there's nearly $100 US dollars difference each, and can the aftermarket gear be fitted in the cruiser 8" centre and standard rear 8" with minimal fuss? will be using a solid pinion spacer also if that makes any difference.
Cheers Mitch

high pinion conversion into ln106
1989 LN106- 2" spring lift, 285 mt117's, 4.8's, front spartan high pinion'd, 6000k H/L HID
Re: high pinion conversion into ln106
From what i've seen on the net etc the nitro's are the strongest option out there. When you order just let them know ones for a hi pinion centre and ones for the low pinion setup as the hi pinion gears are reverse cut.
plenty of parts on the bench
Re: high pinion conversion into ln106
yer reverse cut is the main reason im doing the swap, for strength and clearance..
So an aftermarket 4.88 will fit in both 8" centres ok?
