Stage 6, which is now Stage 4 is completed. This stage is called Devils Gully. It runs for 150 meters & has awesome rock obstacles & finishes up at the Outlaw water hole from the black rat event. One of the rock ledges is called the mini waterfall named after it's big brother on stage 2.

There are 6 stages now, this means a whole lot of 4wdriving.

Hi,

If you are a spectator who is not coming with a competitor, then firstly you will need to be in a 4wd club. Next week I will putting a post on Outers asking for expressions of interest for spectators. You will need to supply the name of the 4wd Club you are in & rego of your vehicle. We will be only allowing limited numbers.

Stay tuned.

What about those that are keen but aren't a member of a 4WD club? I'd love to be a spectator

As Jamie has mentioned previously we are not opening to general public as It adds more complexities to running the event. We want to focus on the driving instead of crowd control

The Competitors are allowed to bring their direct family with them, the competitors navigator can also bring their direct family with them. If you are not apart of the competitor/navigator immediate family then you will need to be in a 4wd club to be considered. I will be asking for expressions of interest for spectators who are in a 4wd Club at the end of this week. Details of how to be considered will be posted at the end of the week.

There are limited numbers of spectators allowed, so it does not guarantee you entry even though you are in a 4wd Club. An On All 4's 4wd Club member is an exception to this rule.

All, we have had a few Queenslanders drop out due to financial reasons. Also I have sent an e-mail out to the Queenslanders which have sent an expression of interest to see if they are still interested however I haven't had much of a response as yet.

I really need to know who is definitely going to come by 30/07/10 from QLD. There is no problems with NSW guys, we have heaps. Please send an e-mail to gothe80@bigpond.net.au if you are really interested in competing in this super tough event. If we don't get at least 6 rigs from QLD we will can the NSW v QLD idea & either run a NSW v ACT (if they are interested) or City v Country round 2 on the same weekend. Either way we will be doing something on the weekend of the 11th & 12th of SEP.

Thanks
Jamie

All, still not enough Queenslanders. Cut off time to keep this event going is Monday 02/08/10 by 4.00pm. We have 3 Queenslander who are very keen to compete. If we don't have at 3 more by 4.00pm Monday then we will be looking to run NSW v ACT on the same weekend.

It is totally in your hands QLD. Please send an e-mail to gothe80@bigpond.net.au if you are 100% sure you are going to compete.

We have heaps from NSW. No problems there. Go the Blues!

You are already included in the 3. We only require 3 more.

Yeh, it is very disappointing actually. We had 7 Queenslanders who expressed interest, however one rolled is Mog at King of the Rim, & the others can't come due to financial reasons. So this only leaves 3 confirmed. They don't have to even live in QLD. Milo who's brother will be driving his rig lives in the Blues Mountains on the outskirts of Sydney; however he was born in QLD & that is fine. As long as you were born in QLD you will always be a Cane toad.

From previous experience I know it is a big ask for the Queenslanders who have to actually make the long journey; however to say you have actually represented your State is a huge & proud statement. I travelled to EMU Creek from Kurrajong Hills on the outskirts of Sydney 3 years in a row to compete in the Battle of the States. I did not hesitate the fact, I found some money, got a leave pass from my boss, brought along my family which included my 6 week year old daughter (in the freezing cold) & set up a tent. This why we have 4wd's, it is our hobby, sport & recreation. It's what we do to get away from the ever stressful week of work. I think the Queenslanders may require a little hardening up.

The tracks are very tough however they are doable & have all been tested other than the new stage, it will be tested before the event, we just don't build impossible tracks that can't be driven. There is over 2km's of super tough driving which is all natural.

Although there has been the Battle of the states event, there has never ever been a NSW v QLD (state of Origin) 4wd event. So this is a first, I think we need to make this event happens for all future NSW & QLD 4wd enthusiasts. If it does not happen this year, it may not happen again.

We have enough from NSW, so this is not a problem. There would be a lot of people who don't get on to outers, so Queenslanders, if you know someone who might be interested in competing who does not have access to a computer or does not know the event is on, please let them know.

We have by COB Monday 02/08/10 to have at least 6 Qld vehicles to compete in this awesome event. Please send your expression of interest to gothe80@bigpond.net.au

Either way we will be running an event on the 11th & 12th September 2010 at Mudgee. Lets hope it is NSW v QLD.

Cheers
Jamie.

there is plenty of cement over here if those queenslanders need to harden the :bad-words: up :finger: jamie this is very poor given the fact that everyone says that there is not enough comps on the calander these days

these queenslanders sound like nothing but women dressed in mens clothing just plain soft
