New Trail Ready Beadlocks.
I found these pics on the Pirate4x4 forum and when I looked on the Trail Ready web site I was very surprised to see that we have three dealers here in Australia. I have contacted one of the suppliers and these new HD TR rims will be available here the next few months.

Info from their web site.nastytroll wrote:Do they come blank or drilled? What patterns/offset available?
They look the goods.
TrailReady now offers a new Heavy Duty "born as beadlock" one piece Beadlock wheel designed for racing applications but perfect for any application. All TR Beadlocks sport a rock solid 3/8" thick 6061 T6 billet aluminum clamp ring. Now available in a standard slim ring design, our legendary rock ring and the new World Series Ring.. We protect our gold zinc plated 5/16" grade 8 bolts by counter boring each hole so you won't be snapping or rounding off bolts. Anodized, Powder Coated or Polished finishes, available at additional cost. Machined for OEM and Racing hub applications, same price!! The TR HD Series is the ONLY heavy duty cast off-road beadlock made in the USA.
Additional sizes coming soon.
17X8.5 [5, 6 & 8 lug patterns] HD17 3.5, 4, or 4.5"
15x9 [5 & 6 lug patterns] HD15 3", 3.5" or 4"
Below is the U.S.A price for the 15x9s. The Walker Evans sell for $325 in U.S and here they sell over here for $550 so these Trail Ready rims should be around the same price or cheaper.BASSYK wrote:

Re: New Trail Ready Beadlocks.
when i imported my alliled beadlocks late last year they were approx $100/wheel freight, only have to worry about gst, etc if the order is above $1000aus, so just have to make sure the receipt states yes the total cost delivered for 5 or 4 was only e.g. '$937' aus

Since they are manufactured as a beadlock, and not an altered rim, does that make them road legal?

Wouldn't think so as the ring is bolted too the rim.
Doesn't the bead from one to the other have too be one piece?

Correct !!
Any beadlock whether designed or aftermarket is illegal. Although I am not sure on such rims like Hummers.

Re: New Trail Ready Beadlocks.
I'm not arguing but it seems odd since there's multipiece rims out there since the dawn of cars.
Split rims
Spicer style spider rims with bolted on demountable rim outers
military vehicles with bolt on beadlock/wheel assemblies
some heavy commercial/agricultural vehicles came stock with bolt together wheel assemblies
regardless, i'm selling my internals and about to get external beadlocks, the rims i have are 8 inch, and one of the dudes who wants to buy my locks wants to swap his 10" rims for mine with the second hole already in them.
While not having to weld up my old holes might be nice, i'm aware that welding on a beadlock ring effectively widens the rim by an inch. Do people think that 11" wide rims would be too wide for a set of 37 x 12.5 maxxis creepies? would it make it more likely to roll in internal bead?

My 38.5x12.5 boggers were on 10's with weld on beadlocks so 11's and i never rolled an internal bead, but how ever i didnt get the them to bag enough for my liking and was always scrapping the bead lock.... so i went back to a set of weld on beadlocks on 8's much better.....

Re: New Trail Ready Beadlocks.
i would keep the 8 inch rims and weld a beadlock to them, that'd be perfect for 12.5 wide creepys, on a 10" rim you'd risk losing the inner bead.rockcrawler31 wrote:I'm not arguing but it seems odd since there's multipiece rims out there since the dawn of cars.

Re: New Trail Ready Beadlocks.
Normal rule of thumb is that the rim should be 65-80% of the tyre width. This is to maintain the correct bead seating angle. This would also apply to rims with one mechanical beadlock to maintain the integrity of the non-locked side

I know it means nothing because they are on a specialist military vehicle. But the Aust Army G Wagons (armoured) have beadlock rims.brooksy wrote:WICKED wrote:rockcrawler31 wrote:Since they are manufactured as a beadlock, and not an altered rim, does that make them road legal?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
Re: New Trail Ready Beadlocks.
As there is fare bit of interest in these rims I'll just post the info up instead of sending PMs to everyone.
I bought the rims through the Trail Ready on line store, they were very professional and had great customer service, they realized that my hub bores would be too big for the rims and wouldn't fit so they machined then for free before they left. My 16x8 converted rims sell for $340 each but due to the aus $ I paid $320 each.
http://secure.trbeadlocks.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I imported the rims through JT imports, they charged $35 per rim, then customs stung me with $140 for going over the $1000 gts tax free limit.
http://www.123engines.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Then e-go delivered them to my area for $65 for all of them
http://www.e-go.com.au/home.do;jsession ... E4A56BE87B" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In total my rims worked out be $401.25 each, depending on the aus $ you might get them cheaper now.
Trail Ready has two different types of beadlocks. The HD series is a heavy duty "born as beadlock" one piece Beadlock wheel. Sizes below for the HD rims
17x8.5 [5, 6 & 8 lug patterns] HD17 3.5, 4, or 4.5" Available now
15x9 [5 & 6 lug patterns] HD15 3", 3.5" or 4" Available now
20x9.5 [5, 6, & 8 lug patterns] HD20 4.5", 5", 5.5", 5.8" Available now
17x8.5+ (5, 6 & 8 lug patterns) HD17+ 4.5", 5", 5.5", 5.8"
Their other alloy beadlocks are their converted beadlocks, sizes below.
15x12 3.625"
16x8 4"
16X8 3.625"
16x10 4.5"
16x12 4.5"
18x9.5 4.5"
20x12 4.5
