Re: FJ40 POWER STEERING CONVERSION
Mate as far as I've heard most people use a 60 series power steer box and arms.
As for the gas if you have a standard carbie motor it will give you a tiny bit less power but will run on any angle so no more flooding. For a fitted gas kit it should cost you about $2000

Rims flipped from $50
Re: FJ40 POWER STEERING CONVERSION
Hey thanks for that,Know much about the punp set up. Common brand
Re: FJ40 POWER STEERING CONVERSION
Just use what ever you can find. I heard falcon works well unless you can find something that will bolt straight on. Most people get a custom high pressure line made.

Re: FJ40 POWER STEERING CONVERSION
Any pump off a 2F/3F ( 60 series or 80 series etc) fits straight up to a FJ40 engine ( unless you got a conversion )

Re: FJ40 POWER STEERING CONVERSION
Na all the stuffing around isnt worth it as i prefer heavy steering especially in the rocks with really low tyre pressures
Before All toys there was the Landcruiser
Re: FJ40 POWER STEERING CONVERSION
Yea, and better grip with the tyres on rocks then too coz it's easier to keep the traction when turning with no P/S.
