I just got my GV sorted with 255/70/16 muddies :P
Bad news is I was going up a slight incline / and it just snapped a CV. :cry:
Has anyone had this problem and is there a fix for it.
V6 GV , Body Lift , Calmini , 255/70 BF MTR

i've done both sides on my vit now, both not going 'that' hard. :x :bad-words:

best fix is to SAS it :D

:D I've done both sides too. About 5 days apart. Don't spin a wheel and drop it :D


As for a fix................ weld 'em up. Might help a little, but you'll have 1000 times more fun breaking them :D :D

deeeeeeeer, dont mind me, it says on the page Those reductions will change only the LOW-range.

still dont know why they have the bit about 30% reduction and 120% reduction :?

Most CV's I've busted have been caused by one wheel spinning and then getting dropped onto the ground, such as you'd find when you're trying momentum to get through or over things.

By locking both sides you limit the spinning of the wheel as if you're spinning one, you're obviously spinning both and thats not easy in most situations, also you'd be travelling at lower speed due to the lack of momentum needed to get over stuff.

I say weld them 'cause I'm a cheap bas$@rd and drive a butchered Vitara :D :D

Unless of course you are rich and can afford air lockers ;)

Search the forum for pro's and con's as there is a hundred different opinions on locking styles :roll:

Yea am looking for vitara of more to the point Grand Vitara cv's

Roadrunner I thought you were talking about welding the CV's up :lol:
thought it sounded strange.

Diff lock sounds like a good idea
