22r with endless air?

I have one on my 2.8 with air con. It's a sanden 508. Not much help to you but you should be able to find somewhere if you look hard enough.

the 2.4 petrol doesnt seem like it has anymore room to put another air con..
is there more room around a 2.8?

i wouldn't have thought so. thats why im so interested to see how HTL01X has done it.

all i can think of is relocating the battery and maybe next to the original air con pump.

The compressor is mounted directly under the p/steering pump. The belt runs around the crank, p/steer and comp. The comp is fixed and the belt is adjusted with the original p/steer adjuster. I used a bracket off a mazda 626 cut down and bolted to adjuster bolt and spare bolt in engine mount.
I had to put a dent in the sump to clear inlet hose, shift p/steer pipes forward and bend the tin guard down about 10mm to squeeze it in there.

Ok. went to the wreckers and picked up my sanden 508 and a bracket to mod that shoud do the job.

just a quick question, where did you buy your fittings for the intake and pressure lines???

Are the threds on the compressor generic? and do you run an air resvior??

All compressors will use a BSP thread, most likly 1\4". these fittings will be available at any of your super tool, repco, glenfords, auto type retailers in an aray of types ie hansen (snaplock) etc

bsp treads can often be tapered (BSPT) so be careful when doing em up, if you do they too tight can can crack aluminiium housing quite easliy.

I bought my fittings from the local truck supplies place. I used hydrulic hose back to the tank which is mounted on the g/box crossmember. I think the comp fittings were 12 + 14mm, metric thread. Take your comp with you when you get them. The tank is about 5 or 6 litres i think. I just went to the truck wreckers and picked 1 out.

I have been thinking about this for a while now.
I already have a large tank and a small compressor.

I could save room under my rig if i use a smaller tank, currently about 20 litres.

Even running air tools would a small tank, around 5 litres be enough, i mean it is a hi volume pump so it should be fine...

Or would it just be better to keep a larger tank in there? the reason i went so large, is that i just fill it up from home before i head out. but to save room, for a second exhaust pipe, would a small tank off a hi volume compressor still be just as good?

I use the rattle gun of my tank (5 litres or so) all the time. I even use it at home because it's easier than starting up my petrol powered compressor.

Try to look for RN85 2wd with a/c pretty sure it mounts under intake manifold.

Pretty much anything with aftermarket A/C.
Just go to the wreckers or someone who does A/C repairs. Shouldn't have to pay anymore tha 40 bucks.
