a word ofadvice..... make sure you connect the TPS properly, or even with the extreme shift body, you will burn it. Don't assume that it will be ok at idle on the rest position on the TPS. I nearly killed my gearbox and it was hooked up to the throttle body. I got it serviced and the mechanic adjusted the TPS so it got the right trans pressure, and it works great now! mine had to be adjusted about 1/3 of the way around. A guy on my forum put the 1uz in his hilux, and he also only got around 115kw at the rear wheels. I haven't had my 5.0 litre dyno'd but it goes reasonably well, and a new memcal and change of diff gears from 3.9 to 4.65 should make it launch. Hope you get it all sorted. can't beat the sound of a V8 at full noise
There is no "I" in Team, but there are 5 in Individual Brilliance

I have a good friend doing this at the moment.iwanahuma wrote:no-one has used the toyota auto to patrol t-case yet??
anyone used the 1997 and up VVT-i 1UZ?
I have one laying around, it looks so easy enough, and was thinking of putting it in my Y60 SWB!
He has machined and welded together the output shaft from the Nissan 5-speed to the Toyota tailshaft slip joint to make a little spud shaft.
For the adapter housing he has used the Nissan 5-speed extension housing wth a thick aluminium plate bolted to the front of it and machined to bolt up to the auto.
