Basically the Feroza has the engine set up for torque and the Detomaso is for top end power.

Yes the detomaso engine has more top end 92Kw @ 6000rpm compared 2 the ferozas 70Kw @ 5700rpm

But I disagree with u on the torque because the detomaso has 144Nm @ 4000rpm from memory and the feroza has only got 128 @ 4800rpm which means the detomaso has got more torque lower in the rev range

It sounds like an excellent upgrade !

Now all you need is better (lower) gearing

Then you'll have one awesome 'stock' Feroza !!!

Actually I was talking torque curves, rather than peaks, and didn't say the Feroza had more torque! Torque and max power are related- so it stands to reason the Detomaso would have a higher peak torque. I imagine however the spread of torque would be vastly different to a Feroza.

It would probably be a better comparison to use the standard Applause engine anyway- I believe it has the same maximum power (???)

It does seem to respond quicker to light throttle input and rev out better. Power seems to be increased too. Hard to say if it's the TB mod or the injectors being cleaned though?!? Stu has sent me some counter sunk M3.5 bolts, so I'll be putting them in soon to finish it all off.

If only I had free access to a chassis dyno like I used to    That was a handy tool for comparing mods like this one.
