hey i went for a bit of a 4wd with a mate just around dunes..

now whenever i accelerate there is really bad flat sots.. revs like 1000rpm before acceleration kicks in!!!

will this fix up after engine cools down?

i did thrash my car a lot

maybe driving on the dunes may have mixed up all the crap in the tank and it got through the filter

if you were any where near the beach you may have sand blocking one of your jets in the carby :cry:

temp guage was only on a quarter to a halve..

is there anyway of getting that sand out? i got crc carby cleaner left over somewhere

Try read the bible on carby bits first.

Also try:

hand over carby wilst reving so it creates a vacume and sucks the crap through
open the front screws on the float bowl and drain the fuel bowl and clean with carbycleaner .

Open the carby up and clean it, or have it done, and you should be right. and put a new fuel filter on it !! :D
Also check that nothing has come loose, particularly the bolts holding the carb to the manifold as well as the manifold bolts.
