bump stops
just another question fellas do i have to trim the bups stops down my self or can i buy low profil ones at any 4wd shop
Do you remember what M# bolts they were? I would like to do that on my truck truck. Too bad that hardware stores here in the states never have things like that on hand.GREGGO wrote:I plucked mine and used a hacksaw. I replaced the bolts in mine with high tensile countersunk bolts for better clearance and less noise over the fast stuff. Those bolt heads sure make a racket when they're bouncing off their metal stops!!!

Cut down Sierra cab on extended LWB chasie running, Hilux front and Bundy back, with a 4AGZE should be finished about umm soon. A 60 Series work truck and some go fast toys too.
DirtyPaj I believe it's 15mm you cut off, and you'll probably need low profile allen key bolts so you're still bumping steel onto rubber rather than steel onto steel. And it's not good to cut down your lower bump stops because they absorb the force of the wheel travelling upwards which is when the weight of the car has to be taken into account. The upper bump stops only need to be able to handle the weight of wheel assembly.
