I am after advice or recommendation's on how a person can get secondhand bullbars across the country or anything large for a 4wd without it costing so much it becomes a silly idea?

You need to ring around and get some prices, I got a set of swampers sent from Melbourne to Sydney for $90 on a pallet, it was one pallet space on a Bdouble and just so happened they were trying to fill the load and being an ex trucky I knew a thing or two about them trying to fill loads. But rining around a few carriers is the best way. The bain of transport operations is backloading, so you've gotta think outside the square a little, try talking to removalists that might cover certain areas as they often run home empty etc and will carry stuff very cheap to pay for the fuel.

hope that helps a bit. Paul

We've got a fairly good freight rate with Ipec. I can organise the freight for anyone that wants it.
Here is a rough idea on costs - $80 for 4 36"tyres from Brissie to Sydney.

Cheers,
Ryano

I found out a person can get a passable deal if they waste $20 on long distance phone calls  .
The best deal I could get as a private person (some wouldn't even bother because of no ABN) was $450 then up popped a $280 quote so I got there in the end.
Ryano can you get freight from anywhere to anywhere at a fair price or just from Bris? The deal you got on those tyres is mighty good!!!

cheers fnq

Reasonable rate anywhere in OZ.
PM some dimensions, weight and where to and from and I'll get a quote.

Cheers,
Ryano
