but why so much? most GQs etc move 12mm to clear 35's...
i too am looking at moving my front diff forward in my GQ the things i can see being affected is your parnhard rod and steering arm the question is how far can the diff be moved forward befor it affects these things
also maybe in your case you will to look at your shocks and springs

If you're talking IFS it wouldn't be worth the hassle.
Upper & lower wishbones, diff mounting, and steering, and suspension would all have to be moved

The distance was discussed recently in the Nissan Area. 12mm seems to be the general consensus. 15mm causes panhard issues.

hilux
Hilux allready has a second hole 35mm rearward on the drivers side (I think) just drill a hole in the other perch the same and move the diff forward No problems with anything except having to shorten the top arm.

Re: hilux
can't remember if we lengthened the steering arm as well (I don't think so) I think the box copes with it. Might have to re-align the steering wheel though.Nat84 wrote:what about the steering??DR Frankenstine wrote:Hilux allready has a second hole 35mm rearward on the drivers side (I think) just drill a hole in the other perch the same and move the diff forward No problems with anything except having to shorten the top arm.
