Dan I know the answer mate and our team is not effected but you may wish to clarify for any other team which may be effected.

I am of the beleif that the navigator must drive the vehicle at atleast on stage during the competition. The rules do not state that the navi must hold a current/valid drivers license (driver must) but only state that the navi must produce current/valid proof that they are over the age of 17

So just to clarify that the navigator must also hold a current/valid drivers license and produce it??????????
Cheers

Your are correct there linc.

And I have also asked navigators to be licenced since handing out the rules.

It has not been a probelm so far but if it is for anyone please contact me asap.

Head down to rover park, set up camp and watch the comp.

There will info for spectators down there as to where stages are held.

As long as your car is engineered in a reasonable manner, has working lights, and you are carrying the appropriate equipment it isn't hard. Needs drivers & passenger window nets, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, recovery equipment, torch, etc.

Right on the money there Steve.

As far as I know there are not any teams looking for cars.

But if want to come down to spectate or even help out that would be great.

I am looking for a few officials on the saturday if any one is keen.

Steve have you seen the flop lux lately. Any taller and skinnier and Al Queda would be flying air liners into it.

What I would say is that if you would be keen to give it a go, and your car is suitable it doesn't hurt to bring it along on the weekend and bring along a third party insurance extension. We were forced to turn up one car short last year and BJ was organised enough to have everything he needed so he joined in and saved the day.
