After being involved with Woodpecker for the past 9 years I would have to agree with you. It had it all, fantastic weather, top drives, top team work, top track, top venue. It is the best event on the 4wd calendar. We had 88 vehicles this year & we still got them through before dark even though we had 4 rollovers. Well done once again to hard working On All 4's 4wd Club members.

We had a great event (Just Cruisin Club) we came 2nd as a club and our Justin Daley got 1st overall. The event was well organised and ran smoothly all day.

83Lux broke on the first set of logs, so you wouldn't have had much chance to get pics of him.

It was a great weekend, The weather was great 3rd time lucky :D
our team did pretty well, no major carnage. There was a bit of action behind the scenes too ;)

Yep was a great event, one of the best I've been to. That water in the bog hole was pretty soupy, after going in after the winch rope I didn't smell too flash by the time I got home according to the mrs!

Thanks On All 4's

Post by Grizzly Bear »

To the On All 4's Club, but particularly the folks who set up the track and ran the event,
Thank you very very much for such a fantastic day. It was awsome. Being part of it has confirmed my love for this sport and I look forward to the next comp.
Being the last car through made for a long day, but it was worth every second.
I was really proud to be a part of the Just Cruizin' Club. The team was awsome. Navies were left to be the only one guiding the drivers and the rest just got the job done. We came second on points and 3 of our trucks are the ones we drive to work every day........
Thanks to all,
:) :) :) :)

Congrats to all the winners, there were some awesome performances! both individual drives, and teamwork. there were some great team efforts going on, with people running everywhere to a plan to get their guys through.
As usual some come away disappointed, but there's always next year :D
This years was the best I've seen, the weather was beautiful, the track spiced with new challenges, interesting but not dangerous mishaps and well behaved crowd. perrrrfect
:D
To those who weren't there, you missed a fantastic day.
Special thanks to the crew, the hardworking marshalls on Sunday, and all our volunteer helpers, but especially to the guys who put many hours into setting up the tracks for everyone to enjoy. they are an extremely dedicated small group of people without whom Woodpecker would never happen. Thanks guys, you did a great job

Congrats to all the position takers. well done

SO regarding the track..... Does anyone think it was easier later in the day due to the track being packed up so much? or easier earlier in the day when it was fresh??

i think when our 2nd team went through there was almost nothing to pack, so easier then??? what do you guys think??

Different sections of the course were made easier in the afternoon, over the cars for example, some like the fan of logs at the beginning got harder as the mud was dug out.

Natural courses, ie. dirt, mud, rocks, etc change throughout the day, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. You have to expect it. All part of the fun.
