Two big hammers, hit either side of the pitman arm at the same time.

But dont miss and hit both hammers together, they will fracture and send bits into your skin!

Go and buy/borrow a pitman arm puller. I tried the Jack it up( Not Jack it off!!!) and smack with a hammer but it did not budge. One minute with the Pitman Arm puller and job was done. Cost me $40? from Supercarp.

Yeah can be freaking deadly! Not with two hammers but with harden steel, had one piece embed in my nose and another go straight thru my ear! Definitely wear some safety glasses! Spray some wd40 on it and hit it with a real hammer, sometimes it can take a while so don't be scared to really wack it.
