2 hammers is the best way, always works. If it doesn't, get bigger hammers

Re: Explain dual cases to me

So what sort of price difference is there between dual transfers and an atlas 4 speed conversion? Assuming it's a GU patrol.
The atlas has cable shift to make shifter location easier, with dual transfers you are locked into the shifter positions, correct?

Re: Courier body lift

You need to trim the metal plate around the shifters, and i had to change one of the brake or park brake brackets on the firewall, I think that's about it, it's been a while...

Yeah the tach output drives the tach perfectly, but not the stupid gas relay....
I tried a different wire around the plug lead, one with more strands, and that works just fine, I guess the more (finer) strands in the wire, the more inductance?
Anyways, it's all working now, thanks for the input

I tried 5 different lengths of wire around the plug lead, ranging from 2" to 4", none worked. I guess i'll either try to fond a relay that does work with the tach output or make my own based on an oil pressure switch.

I bypassed the gas safety switch to get it to run, the cdi is soooo much better than the stock electronic ignition, it now idles when cold, and starts quicker. On the weekend I'll try the wire around the plug lead trick, see if it works...

On the factory setup iy was on the -ve side of the coil, which is why I think the tach output should run it....

CDI and LPG

Just fitted a procomp 6al cdi unit to my 351 clevo... The truck is gas only, with an airod gas control relay dealy Since the CDI unit says not to connect any wires(other than it's own) to the coil, I needed another coil -ve input for the gas relay, so I connected it to the tach output from the CDI ...

I was told early ones leaked the oil from the gearbox into the transfer causing dramas, my 2000 model (bought second hand) had low gearbox level, ,overfull transfer, and sucked at 3 - 4 shift. I traded it on a new 2004 Courier (yeah, I know) and was told by the service manager at the dealer that ...

Also with a holley make sure you remove the choke butterfly and linkages and seal the hole. This may be an answer to the pain in my ass The Holley I have fitted was already missing the choke assy, has a sprint gas mixer (i think). At idle it seems to have a vacuum leak, poor brake performance ...

I got 31" buckshots on my Bronco, yhe guys who fitted them (both the sales guy and the fitter) said 40psi too... so I do, they are wearing evenly though. I used to run 18psi in the sand on super diggers, but the buckshots need to go low, down to 12 or less (in a Bronco!)

Changing a 28 spline 9" to 31 spline

I've got a 28 spline 9" centre I spent 1650 on getting rebuilt, now I don't need it in the falcon anymore, but it's the right ratio for the Bronco. Problem is Broncos are factory 31 spline, is it hard to change the centre to suit the axles?
