Thornbirds come in that size too. I love the look of fat tyres but they are completely impractical. Even my 10.5 wide tyres just scrub my springs with max offset desert rat rims and the cops have pinged me for being outside the gaurds.

I haven't done it on a g series engine but I did change them on a wrangler recently. I just knocked them in with a small punch in the middle. I then just reached in with pliers and pulled them out.

Yep spotlights got them. They are pretty standard studs. Should be able to get them at plain old crafts/sewing stores.

There was plenty of coolant in the overflow so I originally assumed the system was full. Thought it could have been an airlock so I took the rad cap off and realised that it was only about half full. Explains the temp gauge. No milky oil so probably not a head gasket. Found that one of the welsh ...

TJ - Blowing Steam but Temp Gauge Normal

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to diagnose the GF's TJ. About a month ago we noticed steam coming from the bonnet. It was coming from the rad cap. The temp gauge was normal so I replaced the cap thinking it was stuffed. Just now I've noticed a heap of steam coming out from the bonnet. This time you could hear ...

Hey Nic. To start with I'll run it full time. The MS does have the functionality to turn the SC clutch on and off dependent on engine load, rpm, etc. Might keep it simple to start though.

By G16A I mean the earlier carb's 8 valve model which I converted to throttle body injection. The 16 valve G16A ...

Hybrid, any idea on what supercharger you will be using. The jimny crank pulley is 125mm, is 4 bolt and uses a 4pk belt configuration.

With an AMR300, this creates 5psi throughout the rev range (800rpm to ~5000rpm) on a 1.3.

Any more details on your build?

Sorry Spike only just saw your post ...

Thanks Shep but I can't quite make out the vin plate hehe. Think I'll stick to the GTI pulley. There should be a fair few of them about the place seeing as the red line boys like to go with aftermarket underdrive pulleys.

I'm looking for a 120-125mm crank pulley to suit a G16A. This is to make a little supercharger project I'm toying with easier At a guess I would expect any of the G model pulleys would fit. Does anyone know if there are different pulley sizes between the vitara, sierra, swift, GTI, barina? Also are ...

Welsh Plug Replacement

My missus just bought a TJ from the Auctions. The mechanic tells me that the welsh plugs need replacing. He wants $700 to do it. I've done plenty of engine swaps on sierras and hiluxs but really didn't want to do too much work on this one. Is this a whole weekend engine bay strip type job or just a ...

I thought you could buy a seam sealer that is basically like putty. You see it used in stock cars. Provided all your stitch welds overlap though I would have thought he was talking shite too.

Awesome work man. I'd really appreciate it if you could source a part number or what mower model it came off too. I think I'll need some extra cooling as I'm adding a supercharger and since its shorter than stock I'll finally get some clearance between the rad and power steering box.

Cheers,
