i think its worth it. i wouldnt be worryed about braking the locker i would more be worryed about the relabilt of it as in to lock and unlock, leaks ect.

if it goes ahead i will be interested to put one in the front and get the real deal in the rear.

snake racing hi steer and vit brakes?

anyone know if you can use vit brakes with the snake racing knuckle. im looking to replace my dodgy hi steer that i ground out a bit to fit the vit brakes. so can it be done? snake racing knuckles and use vit brake?

Pressure clean then a grinder or one of the cleaning type disks or wheels is the safest way........ or maybe even sand blasting for steel. Aluminium is more difficult......Pessure clean , hot soapy water , or pure alcohol and a stainless steel wire brush......thats how I do it for most application ...

ive got a unimig panther 172. i think it was $900bucks. im not realy a fan of mig welding but i did use it weld on my trac bar mounts on my diff only because i couldnt get a MMA electrode in there.
all my bar work is TIG welded only because i like to tig welded and i want to get good at it :lol:

just go back from fx. Basicly he said $120 to $150 depending on how hard it is ect. He said if its easy he can sandblast them and prime then at no cost or get them powdercoated black at $40 a rim. He recons i can probably get 4inchs out of them :twisted: but im not afta that extream.just want 2 or 2 ...

Seems jmac does eveything. I've had my gear at his shop before. I would prefer to get them done at a place who just do wheel modification/repairs as I will be driving on theses things at 100kmh
