How long ago was that? I think the street legal ones have only been around for a year or so. Less than 2 weeks ago. Provided they have ADR 07/00 marked on the hose they should be perfectly legal, even rubber lines need to have this number visible somewhere. I would find another engineer with a ...

My Engineer told me in no uncertain terms DO NOT USE BRAIDED brakelines.
Not sure but I got the impression it was because they were not legal.... he would not pass them anyway.

Cheers for the replies.... some good points to concider.
It is a space issue, I am sure I can get a large one in, but two smaller would be neater for me.
Thanks again.

Would two smaller top quality oil coolers with a fan each be as efficient (or better or worse) than one large top quality oil coller with a large fan ??
This being with the total cooler surface area being roughly the same in each case.

automatically start on petrol and switch over after a short period and avoid the backfires. My system does this as well. I feel I have sorted out a lot of the problems with my setup after years on the V6. I have been able to overcome backfiring issues. Will see how it goes on the 1UZ....... If it ...

I just bought some Wicked and used it on my polished aluminium motorcycle frame and pipes.
I reckon it is great stuff for a shinny lustre with not as much effort as other polishes.
But for scratches and stubborn stuff you still need something coarser.

I spoke to a bloke about LPGing my 1uz and he said $4k and the system would be very similar to the one they use on the V8 cruisers, which is gas injection suppose to run litre for litre very similar to Petrol which would be around 14l/100km so it would cost about $7 (at 50c/L give or take) to ...

Mate….. I will be able to tell you how much my conversion will set me back when I am finished. My attitude is to get it right not skimp on $$ (within reason offcourse). I think between $6,000 and $8,000 but I am also converting to an auto and going all out with cooling the engine and box. I am tol ...

If you get a Rad made can you move it forward to make room for a fan and shroud behind?? Joel x2. Can't you fit the rad on the front of the support panel and rejig the grille? I was thinking this too. Also boof...... I understand the thickness issues between rad and engine, but what about the width ...

I am planning to get the biggest possible alloy radiator made for my 4runner Lexus conversion (thanks to info from members here). I will have to see what room I end up with but I am now planning AU twin fans between motor and radiator if I can possibly get it to fit (maybe skinnier radiator). I will ...

Thanks Tiny.
So I take it that means I do not need to be concerned with the age of a Lexus V8 I might purchase to put in my 94 runner.

I have been told that when doing an engine conversion the donor engine must be newer than the car to be legal unless you run it on straight gas. I believe this is an emissions thing and it is so the emissions are the same or better than before. Can anyone confirm if this is correct in NSW ? Could I ...

thanks for the info, liked the idea of the condute until I had a think of how I would transport it , don't have roof racks so makes it a tad difficult. You can mount them inside...... I keep it there all the time (including the spanner to mount it). http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q221 ...

I don't have one but I have checked them out in the past.
I think you get what you pay for..... They are resonable but no where near as "heavy Duty" as the more exspensive brands. They hang low and you do not have the rear bar or tow bar.
I have a Kaymar and I can't fault it.
