I ran mine at 22 deg adv on gas with the vac line disconnected. It loved it heaps more torque down low, no pinging, smooth power all the way to 5500rpm. I was getting 18lt to 20 lt per 100km around town.

Diff Ratio's

Hi I've got a 1988 GQ SWB 4.2 Petrol 5 speed Patrol and I'm just interested in what the rear diff is ment to be. Only because I've read conflicting information 3.9 and 4.111, at 100km/hour (on the speedo) in 5th is it sitting on 2400rpm or close to it.

Thanks

The turbo conversion really makes it a great toy to drive, It throws you back into the seat from 1800revs to redline, Plus a huge surge of torque when the boost comes on. I would do the conversion again any day, if you ask me the best dollars I every spent on the rig. What does it cost? Welll it ...
