Yeah. It did have 20mm bump stop extentions but i took em out before selling it and put them in my wifes gq. That will fix the problem. I tried the reduction type starter, but it would still hit. Its chewed a nice groove in the bellhousing extention, hay ;)

from gq to suzi

G'day all. Ive been a loyal gq driver for the last 7 years and decided i needed a change so i've aquired a 94 model sierra. The suzi is dead stock and, not knowing much about them at all, i was wondering what mods i should start with. I mainly drive rock and rutty hill climbs. The budget is about 4 ...

I've been running 4 inch EFS springs and shocks on my swb gq for over 12 months and can't fault them. I've had more trouble with the more expensive and well known brands.

I had a quadrajet on my 305 chev, it would't handle any angles, so off it came and on went the holly with an " off road kit" supplied by 4x4 Engineers in Brisbane. Hasn't missed a beat since. Cost about $450 with the holly

smashed starters

I have a shorty mav with a 305 chev fitted with a Marks Adaptors kit. The front drive shaft/uni joint has worn a groove through the bellhousing extention and is now smashing the standard chev starter. Has anyone else had this trouble and how did you fix it?
