Does anyone make a adaptor to mount the GQ transfer case to the ford auto or will i have to adapt a C4 auto to the engine and get a C4 to GQ transfer adaptor? A quick check on Marks4wd, revealed what i thought, nothing is made for the ford auto. If you really want to use this combination, then u ...

I sold the lot for a grand, so guess he made a nice little profit.......Would only have had to wire ecu and get it tuned and it would've been completed.

Hey,

I am fairly sure you can remove the sender without removing the tank. Pull up the carpet in the back and check for a removable panel. take this off and you should be able to get at the bolts holding sender in.

Cheers

Who engineered yours Dazzle? Did you have any probs? Dellow tried to engineer it, i re-did their fuck-ups. As i previously mentioned the clutch slave mount was out of alignment. I modded the original nissan clutch fork for a closer to the pivot push point. I have since found out that the GU Patrol ...

thats great work there, im still waiting for someone to fit a BA turbo motor into a GQ  Thanks, I'm pretty sure BA Turbo wont happen, as the BA sump is huge, and without a huge lift-kit, and aftermarket EMS, it'll never work. The ford I6 feels way more responsive than the old pushrod nissan ...

Great work!! How did you find getting the engine management working? Was there any complications with smartlock or anything? Did you use a dellow kit to fit it? Are they off the shelf extractors? If i had've had the smartlock bypass module connected to the right Green/Violet wire it would've fired ...

Project Maverick (Soul By Ford)

Hi Guys, Been a while since i have been here. Been pretty busy with work and getting divorced, but that's another story best left unsaid. Got myself a Maverick, pretty sure now it has a 2 inch lift, which is good, as my conversion would'nt have worked out as well without it. Here's a couple pics ...

Spring Heights

G'day Guys, Would somebody who has 2" lift kit, measure the ride height for me, to the centre of the headlights, i think, would be a good point of reference. I degreased and pressure cleaned under my Mav' and saw there was yellow springs, and thought they might be aftermarket, and was wondering if ...

Has anyone used a ford V8 in their conversion. Looking into a 302 windsor, have to check availability of bellhousing. Does anyone know off-hand whether clevelands and windsors have same bellhousing bolt pattern?

Hey guys, I believe there is enough potential in the ford engine to justify a swap. Did a search for "performance parts for TB42".....nothing of any use. Ford engine has plenty of go fast bits, especially the CAPA flash tuner for use with a supercharger or turbo. Found a complete '98 EL falcon motor ...

Just on ya petrol consumption...an old worn TB42 will use around 20-25l/100km....more if towing or pushed hard...mine got up to 33l/100k towing ...(admittedly up a mountain though). Standard tank holds 95Litres (hardtop and wagon). I filled it up from about 1/8th of a tank, and i stopped at 100 ...

If you want economy, get LPG installed If you want power, put a V8 in!!! I wouldn't mind a bit of both. Car goes pretty good as it is, and according to the info' on marks4wd, the ford motor has more torque than the tb42 anyway. To top it off i could hot up the motor for more power anyway. It is ...

Hey Guys, JUst got a Mav, and after being bombarded with info on this forum for engine swaps, i just dont know what to do. Would like a ford motor, preferably a six from eb-ed falcon. Hi,

Thanks for the nice comments. Is your Paj a 4 Cyl'? I've never heard of the Stinger 4. A guy i used to work with has a Pajero turbo 4 off-road racer, dunno what system he is running tho'.

Any power output figures? Had it on a dyno?
No, to both q's, have to get the new EFI wired before that happens. Charger is not on the engine ATM, I put it on to test it out and then took it off. Only takes about 3 hours to fit it.

Cheers

Hey, Not sure in the sand, but i guess my thermo would keep it cool. Mine is only a 14inch single and so far it working well in heavy traffic. Time will tell when the hotter weather comes. As the fan spins like the engine is revving, when idling at the lights, you can see the temp gauge go down, so ...

Supercharging a 3.0L V6

Hey Guys, Got pointed in this direction from another forum, and thought there might be some interest in what i am doing to my Pajero. The engine was starting to show signs of it 299,000kms, so time for a rebuild and at the same time a found a supercharger. A couple of mods later and here you have it ...
