Nitro Diff gears from Locktup

Hi,

Got a v6 commo motor in my 4 runner and i just stripped the teeth off my crown wheel and i am looking at the nitro diff gears as a replacement. I am running Auto, duals with 33's and a 4.56/1 ratio. Are the ones on locktup 4x4 stronger than stock?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

4 Runner diff with 60 series centre

Hi, Got a V6 commo motor in my 1985 4 runner and i have stripped most of the teeth off the crown wheel. Spoke to J Mack diff & Gear in Arndell Park and he suggested cutting my diff centre housing out and putting a 60 series landcruiser centre housing in. Sounds like a good idea but my ARB air locker ...

Steve,

How can i test your theory?

If the tacho interface is working what should i get on the output wire that would go to the black & silver tacho wire? Pulses of power or??

Is there a fuse the tacho runs off? Could my tacho be faulty behind dash?

Any help appreciated.

Ain't nothing wrong with a commodore motor. They will go well over 500k if you look after them like change oil and filter and do timing chains and head gaskets if they stuff up but they usually dont. But most engines need that shit done anyway. You can't argue with the fact that it is the most ...
