i am currently doing that conversion atm but have changed from supercharging to turbo i am using the vitara gearbox just made adaptor plate for it

There is alot of room in front of the radiator just gotta cut a little bit out for pipes. Got parts for engine so putting back this weekend building a new sump out of alloy aswell so big end is flipped.

Hestitation at acceleration

Hey guys been having some trouble with my vitara Efi g16 it is really boggy when starting off i have checked the timing put all new plugs in checked all the sensors even changed the dizzy but it is just the still the same just wondering if anyone else had the same problem

Spread a vice a little wider than the axle, sit the cv ontop of the vice axle facing downward, hold the cv and axle, lift up then bash down onto the vice, they should separate easy and you have heaps of control as well as pressure

wat about putting the engine into the vitara bay is it much stuffing around or would it be worth putting a turbo on the 1.6 as i only need to run low pound to help the old girl out

It's a good point though. I think vitaras have more than enough power to highlight their dodgy handling.
My vitara has abit of power and the handling is really great i reakon nothing dodgy about the handling in mine

had the same exprience on a hill but no ruts just clay scariest thing i ever did nearly didn't make it i was lucky to stop my car or i would rolled over as i was heading for a steep drop off
