Aftermarket Turbo for 1HZ
Hello, I have a 1996 80 Series Cruiser with a Naturally Aspirated 1HZ Diesel. I'm thinking of putting on an aftermarket turbo to give me a little more power ... (I'm running 35's and the donk has to work pretty hard a lot of the time. What would be the best Turbo unit I could fit??. I've heard of ...

Disconnecting 80 Series Sway Bars - Any Issues??
Hello All,
I'd like to increase the wheel travel on my 80 series, and was looking at removing the front and rear sway bars ...
Would there be any issues with doing this?? ...
Would it give me much more articulation (especially on the front)??
What are your thoughts??
Thanks.

80 Series Sub Fuel Transfer not working :(
Hi All, I've just found that the fuel transfer from my sub tank to the main tank on my 80 Series Diesel isn't working ... Is the most likely cause that the sub fuel pump is stuffed?? ... or could the system need bleeding?? The tank was completely empty, so I'm not sure whether a bleed of the lines ...

Running 37's on Standard Toyota Gearbox
Hello All,
I'm thinking of putting 37's on my Diesel 80 Series and would like to know if tyres of this size will run ok on the standard 80 Series Manual Gearbox ...
Can anyone advise of any potential problems, or whether it will run fine?
Thanks.

ESP Availability for 2006 Grand Vitara
Hello All, I'm trying to chase down whether the ESP module that is installed in the American release of the 2006+ Grand Vitara would be obtainable for my vehicle ... I've been looking for a rear locker for a while, and I was just speaking with a mate from the US who asked me why I was wasting my ...

From what I've experienced with my current model Grand Vitara (I know, I know ... not a real 4WD ... I keep getting reminded of that everyday by my mates) ... The real issue with IFS (and IRS in my case) is the articulation. I have a lot of clearance when all 4 wheels are on the ground, but when ...

Yeah, would be nice to take a loaner out wheeling to see if that one breaks too!! :? I'm going to check out my warranty documents to see if they are obliged to give me a loaner ... It's a crappy deal if I have to live without a car because of their piss weak parts and apprentices only trained to ...

Suzuki are going to replace the front diff internals on warranty ... but the parts need to be shipped from Japan. So I have a two week wait for that ... then I need to take the car back to them where they will then drop the diff out and send it along with the new parts out to Suzuki's head office in ...

Just came out from under the car ... and I couldn't see anything  Even when on the jack, It just wasn't high enough for me to get a good look at the top of the diffs. Plus, the front diff is up inside the frame ... so difficult to get at ... I'm now trying to find something that will allow me ...

I checked out the engine bay and couldn't see anything that looked like a diff breather ... I'll get under the car when the weather's better and look at the diff itself. If there is just the standard stupid little valve, I'll extend the breathers myself ... probably with some air hose with a fuel ...

The car is an Auto with Automatic Hubs ... Constant 4WD ... So narrowing it down is a little harder. I'm hoping that there isn't any damage to the gear set ... The Box and Transfer Case were checked and they were fine ... Hopefully it's just a bearing problem ... I'm sending it back to Suzuki on ...

Whine from Driveline above 60Km/h
Hello all, Following on from my '06 GV ... Soft Roader??' Thread, I took my car in for a service today as I had an incident on the weekend where I drove through some water that was a little deeper than it looked and subsequently filled my air filter with water and stopped the engine. I got it going ...

Also they'll check out that weird whine I'm getting when I go over 60Km/H. It only makes the noise while under power ...

Wow .. That's pretty serious stuff ... I don't think the water I went through was that long or that deep ... Maybe I was just really unlucky to have had the problem. They look good ... I'd prefer to have some protection under there that's not plastic .... Seems a bit silly that Suzuki would put Plastic Protection Plates on a 4WD!! Just another example of Suzuki losing the plot ... Will be ok though ... given a bit of time and money, I'll have the car that Suzuki ...

Yeah ... I know ... Very Lucky ... I don't think I hit the water that fast, but the photo evidence shows otherwise. I've got it booked in at Suzuki on Wednesday just to check it out ... I'd be interested in the skid plates as I've already ripped off all the plastic guards from under the engine bay ...
