mate gen 2 pajero & delica run exactly the same diffs so no need to weld anything, just unbolt your entire rear housing & bolt in the other housing

giday Ryan
delica uses all coil rear end gen 2 pajero engine & running gear/diffs & suspension
my current daily driver '95 NJ lwb pajero has the larger diffs 8" front & the rare 10" rear lsd diff & has the 4.623 diff ratio
it would be easiest to just put the whole diff & housing in/under your van ...

Re: Project Chop!
Yep, the rear suspension is standard at this stage! I'll just see how it goes and run from there. They are standard SWB coil springs!!! With all the weight gone it it sitting pretty high, the front mounts on the rear trailing mounts are a donut and don't like be lifted much, the more you lift a Paj ...

Re: will a pajero bullbar fit on a challenger
Only pajero bar that will fit is one from a '97 NL 3.5L GLS however the tube bars will need to be cut off & a section of the top plate in middle will need to be trimmed to fit, you're better off finding a bar from a triton of similar yr to your challenger

Re: Project Chop!
quick question what did you do with the rear suspension? Did you leave it with the standard set up of pajero 3 link, only lifted coils/shocks?
I'm just asking as I'm in the middle of cutting up my red '92 LWB 3.0L GLS NJ

Yes I have thought about not making it legal but I want to be able to put it on the road. Rego $300 ish, Insurance $500 ish, WOF $100. So not really big costs in the scheme of things compared to having to trailer it. Many of our trips involve road driving too.

Dan, I didn't even think of calling Brunswick.. But what ever they have I assume it's pretty pricey.. Il giv them a call and see what they can do! As for 35's does your truck feel boggy/sloppy running them or you can't really tell the difference!?

Re: Which Patrol?
4.5L Petrol THis motor was the upgrade on the 4.2L EFI. It uses the same bottom end but has a new head and a longer stroke. There are no head cracking issues with this motor but they are just as heavy on fuel and the 4.2L engine, even worse if you tow, for their size you don't get much more power ...

hey ppl I'm picking up my '98 GU 4.5L Auto this week from the dealer
is it correct that it should have 3.9 difs as standard?
It currently has 2" lift on 31" A/T's I'm wanting to run 33" muds for off road & do transfer gears as well, which diff ratio should I change them to?
Will be our daily driver ...

biggest tyres 4.625 ratio's will handle
hey my terracan is running the 4.625 diff ratios
I'm currently running 32" muddies without any complaints from the diffs, gearbox or engine, in fact the engine doesn't even seem to notice them @ all
just wondering what is the biggest tyre size that the 4.625's will handle??
