Its a wg I think. But its a 2001 grand limited cherokee. dont really want to lift as of yet just want a really good off road tyre . I have 16inch on it now.

Just wondering if anyone can help me with this question.
What is the largest tyre size i can put on my stock cherokee i do mostly sand driving, road and very easy bush stuff. Dont really want to pay thounsands for them what do you recomend?

lift and tyres on a jeep
We did some moderate tracks with lots of dirt , rocks and deep ruts and we found if we had a bit more clearance we would of got over the rocks with a bit more ease and not hit everything in sight underneath. Plus we do a fair bit of soft sand driving

We did look at a 96 model jeep and we saw the wheel mounted on the back door basicaly the wheel is put on a after market wheel bracket attached to the bumper and chasis. Thanks for that guys I was in the middle of nowhere and was worried that I may have done some real damage to the wheel . I thought it might of been a bearing but it drives fine now. I will have to get my hands dirty this weekend I guess.

Thanks for that I have got the back one sorted went to arb this arvo and they fixed that one but have no idea about the front point if it will take the weight of a snatch or not. I dont knw how to post pics yet how do you do that.

Toyota surf was always a problem I hear from a friend that owned one. It came down to the way they were imported. Get it running and sell it, some young gun will love the thing and you can go shopping for something great. Time to cut the loss and run.

Totall agree with PK we have the same model 2001. Runs perfect, 2002 will probably have qadra trac, make sure it works every now and then you get one that just doesn't. Pro's for the Jeep, sexy as, v8 is fast you'll be surprised there very car like and modifications really aren't required to go off ...

Chev is the beter option. Never the less this is a 4x4 forum not a poofy arse bling-bling column. If you need mod's to go off road theres something wrong four wheel drives were made for a reason, look around.
