thanks jock, already on to that ;) got to get one that is not made to fit in the car, the signal is dampened/filtered to stop it jumping around ... which is what i want it to do :D abw do an automotive style vacuum gauge , that is probably your best bet , i can see why you dont want a dampened one ...

if u got a timing belt, cam and crank seals , water pump , new head , VRS plus things like oil and coolant and hoses plus the labour costs other side ofg 2k is probly not such a bad price and as for a fully recoed engine for 2k would have cost alot more than that because it needs all of the above ...

My 93 vit needed a new head since it was warped beyond repair...total cost was the wrong side of $2k, although timing belt and other sundry items were replaced as well. u got done good, thats what it is to put in a fully recod one, cost about 2k to fully reco it. hey , dave here .. those oxy sensors made no diff hey ? can i suggest you disconnect the battery to clear any stored error codes , reconnect it and check it reads a code 12 , then go for a drive , then recheck the error codes. another thing i may suggest is this , remember it also threw the code 52 ...

the swifts from 84-89 came with the correct cam , its has an angle drive on the end of the cam . the swift from 89 onwards used a camshaft with a slot in the end of the cam . generally the swift motor which is marked G13A will have the correct camshaft for sierra , the 89 onwards will be a G13BA ...

its the fan for cooling the radiator , if it spins freely when the engine is at rest , the fluid inside has lost its viscosity. because it cant efficiently cool the radiator , the radiator will push more water out than it can recover , hence a mysterious water loss . just an idea as it has been one ...
