Re: hit a log on side of local track
As others have posted, the usual thing is twisted output shaft on steering box. This is quite common. Check panhard bushes as well, often when the box hakes a hit large enough to twist the shaft, the panhard bushes are also damaged. This is often what causes "wobble"

Re: Td42T which airbox is big enough for 23+psi
The airbox i'm talking about is sold as a universal unit. no mounts included. However... I am nearly finished a GQ bolt in 4 inch airbox and snorkel combo. Runs through the top corner of the bonnet, not the gaurds. Airbox sits in passenger gaurd, up against firewall. Fully tig welded stainless. This ...

Re: Td42T which airbox is big enough for 23+psi
My understanding is that donaldson do not make an airbox with a side entry and end exit that fits well. some people adapt donaldsons but they mostly run them in reverse which is less than ideal.

Re: zd30 air box lid air flow
You could plumb a standard zd30 airbox up to a 700hp engine, the airbox would then be a significant restriction in the intake system. You may then loose 200hp to the airbox, but you might still make 500hp. If you can get a zd30 box for free, run that, then when funds permit, free up the intake by ...

Re: zd30 air box lid air flow
Pics in the add as linked by red dog 4x4. We dont have a flowbench data sheet. Flowbenches are not like dynos, they do not spit out a user friendly printout for the user. The flow figures are calculated from readings taken from the manometers on the flowbench(these manometers can be seen in the pics ...

Re: zd30 air box lid air flow
We have customers with boosted diesels and when fitting the High flow airbox we sell, they have reported noticable gains. Our lid flowed 308cfm@8"H2O compared to the standard lid at 212cfm@8"H2O The key is replacing the entire airbox to allow for a full 3.5" outlet to fit under the bonnet. Our ...

Re: price guide assistance
Hi mate,
we are a Patrol wrecker, for your reference, our prices would be as follows:
RB30, $695
5 Speed, $795
your 5 speed should sell well as they are not a reliable box.
The RB30 may not sell well, we rarely get calls for them.
good luck

if it were me, i would install an aftermarket gauge (even if temporary) to ensure the factory gauges are telling the truth. oil pressure is not something you want to mess with.

Re: Divorced transfer case
as aferal said, a GQ/GU case would be very easy to adapt. it has a sealed female input shaft that would lend itself to having a press fit spline inserted into it and then a spline to suit a front or rear patrol tailshaft flange on the other end.
easy as pie(if you know a machist)
