I think this just about sums it up, Exactly what the engineer said to me this morning, you can do body lift provided you provide all the evidence of doing it correctly. And you have to have it all in writing with photos etc. You only get one shot at it, so do it right the first time.... "It should ...

The other thing that puts me off working on anything other then full suspension travel, is what if you have no load in the back, or a full load, or different models of patrol from base to luxury, they would all sit at different heights, depending on how much fuel you are carrying etc... Gday all! I am seeking information from someone in the know, or someone who can help regardless, and I know this applies to many of us with lifted patrols. And many of us are all happy to run the risk of one day maybe, being caught, and or the grey area of insurance matters... Police will tell you ...

Sometimes people/businesses DO get bagged and shown for what they are, but generally it isn't really a "done thing" on here. Totally a fair call, I just dont forget, the mechanics/businesses who take the time to do things right, and stand by their name and quotes, and communicate well with their ...

RE: GU Steering Alignment before and after lift! - Issue.
Hey all, I have recently purchased a GU, to replace my GQ in search of something a little nicer... A problem I always always had with the GQ was that it steered left, no matter how many times i had a wheel alignment. And it would slightly chew the left hand lugs on the left tire, and leave the right ...

Just adding 2 cents. But, I would replace most things like belts and hoses, and repack bearings (meant to be done ever 30 000k's anyways) have your full service done, and any old parts keep as spares. That way your not gona be stuck in the middle of nowhere changing things - you know its all fresh ...

M Feel the radiator hoses, if they are really soft, then throw them and fit new ones, at high engine speeds the hoses contract and slow down coolant flow, thus overheating the engine. Food for thought, but I'm not sure how that works when the cooling system is pressurised. I woulda only replaced ...

To me it sounds like you really shouldn't have a problem, I suppose the obvious thing to ask is, have you got big spotties blocking the air intake, and or have you removed the ford/nissan badge off the grille, as this is all extra airflow you could be getting into the motor. I run no engine fan, run ...
