Great video ,dont know it i would do that to my paj ,just shows you dont have to spend megga bucks to have fun.Did you see the dvd from last issue that wasn,t bad either.
miss fire
a mate from work has just bought a 1989 patrol tb42 duel fuel .His problem is that once it has warmed up and criusing at around 100km it starts to miss fire.He has replaced the leads and the dizzy cap but still has the problem. any suggestions ?

found problem the head is rooted which has spread to one the piston bores so iam up for a re build ,time to get rid of the patrol.Quoted at least $8 to $9000 to fix.

the coolant is coming out of the pipe of the over flow bottle , the temp gauge went from from about quarter mark and then up to just under top mark ,this just from idling for 5 mins then lifting revs to about 1500 for a few mins thats when temp shot up and coolant started coming from overflow bottle ...

My patrol (GQ) over haeted yesterday found top rad hose leaking,so i changed it and it is still over heating..iam losing coolant from the over flow bottle . i removed the rad cap once it had cooled down enough then let the engine run and it started to bubble up, could this mean i have done my head .

I FOUND PROBLEM THE RADIATOR HAD A BLOCKAGE , HEAD TESTED ALL CLEAR I ALSO PUT A NEW THERMO STAT IN.

went out today for a short drive about 15km round trip,on the way home she over heated went from about 1/4 to 3/4 .when i got home i shut it of and you could hear the water gushing back into the over flow bottle,let it cool down and went for another drive but did,nt over heat got home turned herof ...

clutch checks out ok.One strange thing i was putting it away before (my drive way slopes)the hand brake was on started it up and it was shuddering ,sounds more like the mounts.

Just got myself a 1992 lwb gq 4.2 deisel.The problem is when i put in reverse and i am on a slight hill i get a shudder which goes away when i increase the revs.It also does it when taking of forwards but not as bad,could this be caused by loose or warn engine mounts.

the last month i have noticed my fuel consumptoin has increased.I drive a 1986 swb l/cruiser 3b its got 290,000 km on it. apart from the fuel comsumption it drives great.any ideas what it could be, any help would be appreciated.

I was driving along in my cruiser today bj70 when my temp guage and fuel guage shot up to full and very hot ,but came back down just as fast to normal again ,i stopped and checked water and it was perfect , any idea,s got me stuffed
