either way shouldnt matter. you will be able to pull the trim off and have a look at where to mount them. i had 6x9's mounted in the back onto the body so their def is spots to screw them to

once you have a tyre like pedes, you think any other tyre like a claw or mtz or even as low as a bfg muddy, are a total waste of time if you want to get anywhere. bfg muddies should be a road tyre, they suk in mud. Trepadores are provong to be pretty good too very similar to a pede, if not better ...

i ran my thermo controller on the lowest setting and found that it cut in at about 80deg. but this was on petrol so not sure about diesel. you dont wanna run them all the time as the motors will burn out.

Don't forget that your shock mounts will take quite a beating. Stainless has atendancy to become brittle and crack with regular vibration/ movement which would make it a silly choice for making shock mounts out of. Just buy the steel flat bar and some 10.9 SHCS's anddo the job properly the first ...

Hello I just bought a 1981 MQ SD33 4speed Patrol Hardtop. She has electric brakes fitted for towing and someone has changed the gearing somewhere in her past. gu p/s box has same bolt pattern so it will bolt in. not sure if there is a seal kit avail. if there is and it is something you cant do yourself it might be worth replacing the box
