once you have a tyre like pedes, you think any other tyre like a claw or mtz or even as low as a bfg muddy, are a total waste of time if you want to get anywhere. bfg muddies should be a road tyre, they suk in mud. Trepadores are provong to be pretty good too very similar to a pede, if not better ...

just do a bodylift mate and save sum cutting and yeah bigger bumps stops will help this

can you get away with just bolting the plates above and below the chassis with crush tubes? therefore no welding to chassis

If you were keen go in and have a look at one then decide if you could fabricate one yourself, they're pretty simple in design but a bit exxy. i ran my thermo controller on the lowest setting and found that it cut in at about 80deg. but this was on petrol so not sure about diesel. you dont wanna run them all the time as the motors will burn out.

Don't forget that your shock mounts will take quite a beating. Stainless has atendancy to become brittle and crack with regular vibration/ movement which would make it a silly choice for making shock mounts out of. gu p/s box has same bolt pattern so it will bolt in. not sure if there is a seal kit avail. if there is and it is something you cant do yourself it might be worth replacing the box
