This was very common practive over here in the old days before billet hysteer arms. As noted, if done right, this is not a problem. Use of high nickel content rod, preheating, and "throw it in a bucket of sand to slow cool," and the results have proven themselves. I still run one...

You the same fieldsy on the lcml? Mark Whatley has done this as have several others. It's not too difficlutl. Mount the 60 box to the frame rails. You may have to trim the driver's side shock tower, and it's a good idea to drill holes thru the frame, and then fill with stell tube so the frame deosn ...

It is a nice area. BIG dam with three spillways that drain into the original river valley. The spillways are opened up several times a year, releasing huge amounts of water that then re-arrange the areas pretty completely.
