hey my 89 1.3 carby sierra has major issues there is oil comming bubling out of the oil breather and spraying droplets on the firewall the radiator wines like a high pitch squeeling and bubbles all the time and the car temp guage pretty much sits on hot and it never used too wat the hells hapining? ...

aye the boys at suzi shop had a look and (a) my thermostat dosnt wokr so the chikc is always half open and (b) a numbe rof vaccuum lines arnt were vaccuumm lines should b im getn it fixed next week, but now it stalls everytime its in nuetral and i need it to drive how can i stick the idle up so it d...

yer as sed somewere b4, fuel floats on water, so the water in the carby bowl stays were it is and runs the engine shitly, so throw a bottle of metho in 4 u refill and it helps reove the water, but it could be crap fuel or sumthing blocking th ecarby

hey guys, i had new vaccuum parts put in my carby and it was idling around 900-1000 rpm i was happy then i got shitty fuel form themobil that was full of water, the mechanic sed the bowl was full of water, and i havnt driven thorugh any nor has it rained, i dumped a bottle of mtho into the tank when...

hmm i inspecte dmy carby tonite, and the small flap at the otp of the air intake barrel is loose as te spring has deformed, i am presuming this is the choke? when i started the car with this closed it idled fine, but while driving it didnt sound right? i think ill ring a coupl eof garages tomorrrow ...

i got under the car when it was on ramps and chocked and the rear driveshaft has about a 1/4 turn free play, is this normal?

aye, yer its getn a tune up hopefully tomorrrow

hey when i change gear under load i have a lod clunk comming form the rear, i was told this is bolts on the suspension?

and my exuasgt is shooting out black flakes once its warmed up but its like water if u hold ur hand close? is my exuast system going or sumthing more sinister

hey guys i just got my second swb soft top sierra its and 89 and a WT i will be putting up a members page soon

only problem i have is its idling high
at 2000rpm

any1 know how to lower/tune a 1.3l carby and could give me some pointers

hey i had a similar problem but i didnt du a body swap

did u take off the spark leads
if so u mite have them in the wrong order, even though the dizzy cap says they go to the numbers it mite be wrong

aye there im thinking when i get my new suzi that i will try and use the air con compressor for an air compressor and just let the car idle or somthing to pump up the tires for road/ after 4x4ing

is this possible and has anyone done this?

do you need and aux air tank/resivoir?

yer kewl, i had a soft top and then unfortunatly had to sell it and now i want another but i can only find fiberglass soft tops,

ps any1 selling a soft top sierra???

hey ther ei cant find this anywere so dont flame me, i was wondering if i buy a hard top (removable fiberglass pannels) will i be able to just simply clip these off and put on a soft top or is there more work invoved ie parts?? please any info would help

down the track i wanna make her a softop and wen my engine s^*ts itself du a 1.6 vitara conversion
can you do a 1.6 vitara ina 1lt 4 speed,
provided u get a 5 speed box,
