Gday fellas I have rear Maxi all fittings new in a box never used (proir to mde folding) comes with 24 spline MDE axles, rear housing with plate welded on for dog clutch. Better than air locker option no compressor needed. Who wants to blow when you can be sucked? PM me for more details n price ...

Is it difficult to rebuild a steering box? Its a v8
Is the info on how to do it available in the workshop manual from the local library, is anyone aware? I've spent a lot of $s on this car and want to save some on this job if i can.

I have a 97 Disco with 3" coils and 2" shocks mismatched in rear front is ok.I asked for 2" setup. I haved fixed the problem of the rear shocks being too short by welding another eye on the top of the shock i now get some down travel. My drama is that on up travel I still rub on my flares. I have had a few issues with the gas backfiring through the airbox on my 97 disco. I put the correct gas plugs in and then changed leads, still occured. So then i sepereted the leads so there was no contact at all and a min gap of 15mm between any lead to lead contact. Problem sorted. Runs aswell as ...

Was mainly thinking of strengthening it, rather than the need of it for lift.
As i only have 3" of lift. Sounds as if by the replies i will be better off putting that money towards other mods. Cheers fellas muchly appreciated

My 97 v8 d1 is insured for $18900 it only has gas, lift, lra flares and 35's. Everytime i added something the sum insured went up by every dollar i spent. Even got the full price of the gas fitment added on, and the 2k rebate :lol: Give AAMI a buzz As for fuel consumption well thats another story ...

But under any bonnet is plenty of heat and any little bit helps
Also I reckon they look sweet as on a Rangy
