hey i am building a new motor for my sierra and am after a bit more power. im doin the head at the moment and was wondering how much i could deck off it to raise the compression a bit, im anyone has done this and knows how much you can take off that would be great. its a 96 single ohc 1.3

hey i have my mk1 gti engine in my 96 sierra, ive joind in the gti loom but it wont fire, i have spark but the computer isnt signaling the fuel pump relay, the ecu relay clicks and seems to work, but im not getin any injector puls or fuel?? any help would be great, all the earths are connected but ...

Not sure bout the battery yet. It is a little to close for my liking. I have made a small heat sheild to protect the battery. only time will tell if this will be enough.
anothyer heat sheild or larger one shoud do the job. I'm a little worried it will heat the batterey tray and the tray will melt ...

Job not finished yet. Once I have it back I will be making a shroud to sel on the top of the cooler to divert all air through cooler. aswell as many more bits and peices.

I'm unsure of price on scuba tanks yet coz I havn't picked it up. they only hold 27ltrs each but every bit counts.

Ok a run down.
Turbo: is a chinese hybrid, WS series. (I don't have details here atm)
Manifold: is an rb26 high mount modified with lazer cut TB42 flange.
Intercooler: Is one I Had custom made
Fuel: A Gas Research throttle body, single B2 converter
Ignition: Petronix Igniter, trigering an ICE ...

I'm having problems with my vacum assisted clutch aswell. Havn't had time to investigate. My clutch is as good as gold at idle and low revs. when you get up around 3000RPM and change gears the clutch is stiff as rock. Its like it runs out of vacum. any1 got any ideas or a fix

Yes Coxy I have read The bonnet scoop section. Mine is purely for airflow to a top mount cooler. Still havn't seen the one I had in mind. I think it was a little smaller than the GU scoop. I can't tell from that bighorn pic if that is simailar.

GQ Bonnet scoop, GQ or GU

What is the best looking bonnet scoop for a GQ. I have a GU scoop but i'm unsure if i should mount it, as the GU is alot rounder than the GQ.
(I think the rounded shape is better suited to the GU)

I have seen a scoop on a mates GQ years ago, That from memory, he said was a factory GQ scoop.

I know this car well. its a gas research set-up with twin B2 converters. Gas research throttle body and a custom high flowed nissan turbo from JPC. No expence has been spared with this old girl.

Corect me if I'm wrong But the power you loose through driving your supercharger is returned in more power (boost).
