D2a - replacement performance intercooler

I'm looking at bolt in options for replacing the intercooler on my 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE TD5 automatic (with airconditioning). So far the options that I have found are: PWR - PWR Performance Products - Custom Made Aluminium Radiator, Radiators, Oilcoolers, Intercoolers and Superchargers ...

D2a TD5 - power/torque limit for the automatic transmission

I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery HSE TD5 automatic. I have been told that there is a limit to the amount of power or torque that the engine can put out before the automatic gearbox sensing this freaks out and puts the vehicle into limp home mode. Anyone know what this level is? What sort of ...

Falcon alternator actually. Reckons the diesel one is still there too for the air thingo for the brakes, but the Falcon alternators are cheaper to replace.

people talk alot of shit to ;) I realise that. I'm pretty keen on the car though, but this boost story is quiet a concern but. It's about 45 minutes drive from me, so I'm not that keen on wasting 2 hours going to look at it if this is going to be a big issue... Is this a blow off valve on it (the ...

SD33T running 18psi with no intercooler?

There's a Patrol for sale near me with an SD33T engine in it. The guy selling it says that it is running 18psi of boost and has had the injector pump screwed up to 340cc, bigger fuel lines, 3" exhaust and a pod filter. Surely this would be pretty sketchy running such high boost pressure with no ...

Is it possible to remove just 1 injector, or do the whole lot need to come out at once? I'm just being a bit cautious with them as I don't want to undo the wrong part which will pull apart the injector.

If your refering to the 3rd picture it's just lighting playing a trick, it's also not the injector that's leaking pictured, the leaking one is the one in the background of the picture.

Turns out that the cylinder the leaking injector is on is not running. After running the engine, I touched the pipe on the extractors comming from cylinder number 3 (the one with the faulty injector) and it was cold, the other 5 were warm. Any idea what sort of cost there is in having an injector ...

2H - leaking diesel injector nozzel

Not 100% certain on what these are called, but I'll refer to them as the diesel injector nozzels. The one for cylinder no 3 is leaking and leaking quiet badly on my 2H. Are they something that I can just pull apart and replace a seal or what? http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/4127/08032009074e.jpg http ...

The gear is fine, it would seem that the cable is damaged. I'm not yet convinced that the speedo gauge is fine though, but I guess I'll start with a new cable.

that hose would supply vacume for your brakes Yeah, but why from the back of the alternator? Why not from the intake manifold? All done now. http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4014/07032009073.jpg http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/07032009073.jpg/1/w640.png http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6659 ...

Can I move or bend this hose from the alternator on 2H?

I've got an FJ45 with a 2H in it. Bought a set of extractors, just went to install them to see that they foul on this hose coming off the back of the alternator - a problem for 2 reasons - 1. can't get the extractors in place because the hose is in the way, 2. the hose would be touching the ...

FJ45 - what do I need to fix the handbrake?

The handbrake on my FJ45 (with a 2H diesel engine and H55F gearbox) is incomplete, so I'm trying to work out exactly what parts I need to get hold of in order to get it working. FJ45 - speedo not working

Anyone got any tips on how I go about finding the fault with the speedo on my FJ45? The needle doesn't move. Is the best way to test the cable just to remove the instrument cluster, drive the vehicle and see if the cable spins or not?

cheers, finally going to get around to doing this. reason why I was asking is because I'm wiring up some tail lamps. ATM there's no wires going to the rear of the vehicle for the reverse lamps. No idea why but hopefully by this afternoon that shouldn't be the case.

So, the first picture in my first post is my ute and how it was. The other week a mate and myself found an aluminium bull bar in a back paddock of a friend of his fathers, who said we could have it (no idea what it is originally off). A bit of modifying and here's the result: http://img71.imageshack ...
